I'm a procrastinator...
I've a whole pile of work beside me, but I'm choosing to blog about me procrastinating to work instead. I'm already 20 minutes past my 'start-work' time.
Before that, I've taken my time with lunch, shown Domo some affection, laid on my bed and 'rested' some after all that, played 'izoo' on my iphone, checked my e-mails, picked some songs to listen whilst I work....

Yes, I've done anything else but work. Gah...

I think I'll check my sister's blog now, since I miss having her around now that she's moved out.

I'll start work at 4pm.

A Belated Post

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!

Father's Day celebration was a slightly bigger affair for the usual 4 of us this year. This time round, we had 3 fathers on the table - Kong Kong (my dear grandpa), Uncle Eddie (my third uncle), and my dearest daddy!

I thought they all looked particularly cute in this picture. *teehee*

Thanks daddy for being the wonderful dad you are, and we hope you enjoy your GPS system! No more getting lost on the roads! ;)

Japan I

Opps, I see cobwebs forming in here already. Sorry I left without a word! But I'm back now! - back from one of my favourite countries to visit ... JAPAN!!

I spent 10 days with my mum traveling around Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto. Tokyo still gets my highest rating, and it was there that we spent the most time. :) We did sooooo much walking around (until our feet ached and blistered) and we had to get foot massages and order room shiatsu massages. Cab rides are really expensive in Japan. We only always hopped on from the subway station near our hotel to take us back cos' we really couldn't walk anymore... And that 5-10 minutes cab ride usually cost us around $10.

Shopping was fabulous as usual and I bought a lot of cute, pink, blingy things. :D Summer fashion was just starting too, so that was great, and I also stocked up on my make-up, creams, eyelashes etc etc. There's just so much to see and buy in Japan! I'm putting myself on a 6 months shopping ban now after that haul. Haha.

Mum and I waiting to get on the plane. We flew Japan Airlines! I was quite excited to be on a JAL plane again. Hehe. *For those who don't know, I used to be a cabin attendant on Japan Airlines. :) They put us on the upper deck and my ex-colleague Kailing was working in that compartment. What a coincidence! She really took care of us on that overnight flight. Thanks girl!

We got to Tokyo really bright and early, checked into the hotel, took a nap and got ready to hit the streets.

Our first meal - Soba. The fish-cake like tempura was really yummy.

Stopping for tea. Japan has really good Strawberry Shortcakes and Macha (Green Tea) Ice Cream.

We were strolling around Shinjuku (where our hotel was located, and where many malls like Takashimaya, Isetan, IOIO etc are) and we chanced upon Krispy Kremes!! My favourite doughnut shop! The line was really long, but we got in anyway. They were handing out doughnuts for those waiting in line to keep up the patience. Mmmm..!!

The doughnut machine churning out delicious rings.

I'm a happy girl! :)

The next day, we headed to vibrant, colourful Harajuku. My favourite place in Tokyo. Lots of interesting little shops (like the aeroplane one above) and many interesting people on the streets to see.

I brought my mum to my favourite ramen shop. I still think it serves the best ramen ever. Ichiban!

Kyushu Jangara Ramen. Oishii!

My mum tucking in. She finished the whole bowl! A real rarity...

And then we walked around somemore....opps, I think my mum's looking a bit tired from all that walking around!

And so we stopped for more food. Dessert again! Err...it does seem like we are eating quite a bit aren't we!

More food: Dinner for the day. :D

We had it at an Unagi speciality shop. I'm satisfied. :)))

We got up early the next morning and headed to Disney Sea! After a rather confusing train ride, we are finally waiting for the Disney tram to take us there. Whee~!

Excited!

It was Spring season, so there were many colourful flower displays all around. Pretty!

Mum and Mr Pinnochio

Disney Sea has a lot of rides around the water. This was taken from the boat ferrying us to another 'land'.

Mini Venetian. You can hop on a gondola and go around the 'lake'.

The huge signature ship in Disney Sea....

where we caught a musical, "Over the Waves."

Ice-cream break!

Mum with her Mickey apple popsicle.

My sea-salt ice cream. (a slightly saltier version of vanilla)

Mermaid World!

Mum and King Triton

It's really pretty inside Mermaid world, but I couldn't get any pictures cos' it's really dark. But here's what we had in the Mermaid theme restaurant. Shell shaped scallop croquet sandwiches. I always have this when I'm here cos' it's so yummy. :)

Me, mum and Princess Jasmine at Aladdin Land. It's amazing how much effort is put to each land to recreate everything from the cartoons.

An 'arabic band' performing on the streets.

I tried a go at this game stall where you had to roll a ball into one of the brackets. The prize was Aladdin Lilo or Stitch (in the photo), but I didn't get any balls in... :( so all I got was a badge. :(

Taken inside Sinbad's Adventure boat ride.

The DisneySea Electric Tram.

View from the tram.

Introducing Duffy the Disney Bear ! I couldn't resist...I had to take him home. :)

My feet hurt from all that walking, so I bought a pair of Mickey flip-flops to change into.

Mid-day, there was a Spring Carnival parade!

One of my favourite characters - Marie!

Streets of 'Old New York' in 'Old American Land'.

Vintage cars anyone?

Mum infront of the haunted manor.

Disney was celebrating their 25th Anniversary.

We left at nightfall, and took a long bus ride out from fairy-tale Disney to buzzling Shinjuku.

I'll continue with more of Japan soon. Here's Domo wishing you all goodnight! *xoxo*
