p.s If you all missed A Kucinta Family Reunion on 27th Jan, there'll be a repeat on Sunday, 1st Feb, 5.30pm on Ch5. ~Cheerios!

A Kucinta Family Reunion

I shot this channel 5 telemovie - A Kucinta Family Reunion during the period of end Dec - early January. I had the best time working on this project. The entire cast and crew were so nice and fun to work with, and there was so much creative input during shoot. I had a blast!

We had the wrap party at Helipad last night. The stylist on set, Kenneth was spinning on the decks last night. Here are some pictures to share!! Erm...I had to sepia tone the pictures cos' I'm way too red in all the photos! haha. :)

Pok - the guy behind the lens.

Joanna and Cici - the 2 littlest girls working on the production

my "secret admirer" - Brandon!!

Karen - Ms Harajuku hair/make-up stylist

Introducing - Ah Ye. The straightest-laced, nice guy from Taiwan.

The brains behind the entire project - Ric the Director!

Funky dreadlocks sound guy, Nelson

More pictures from on set!

Stylist/ Dj - Special K...Kenneth!

This telemovie was shot specially for the Chinese New Year. Please watch ok!! 27 January (2nd day of New Year), 10pm, Channel 5! HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!!

The terrors of the night clutch me in fear
With the threat of the dark clouds looming near

I hold on tight to the bright sunshine and hope for the best
And try to infuse my own versions of the colours of the rainbow

Will it be enough to keep the dark at bay?
Swathed deep in my own wishful thinking,

Do pray tell crystal ball.

Sephora in Singapore!

I went to the opening party of Sephora with the other Kosmic artistes today. I'm soooo happy that Sephora is finally here in Singapore! I used to go a little ga-ga everytime I walked into a Sephora store in the US. There's just SO many different types of make-up and body stuff to choose. Super spoilt for choice and I always left with a huge bag of goodies. I'm so glad that the one that opened up in Singapore (Ngee Ann City) is huge too, stocked full with their own Sephora label stuff and many many many other brands. :) You can imagine that we girls from Kosmic were going crazy over all that make-up and skincare.

Got some products to try from the nice people at Sephora. I'm particularly excited over the 'chocolate bubble bath' under the Sephora bath and body line. Mmmm....

P.S Kosmic did a re-vamp of our website. Here's a group shot of us to share. :)

In Response

Sorry I haven't been responding to stuff left on my box...been rather out of it off late. I'm going to post my answers here, cos' they'll probably be lost in the out-datedness.

To the question of what makeup I use:

For eyes: I use Shiseido Majolica's mascara for my lower lashes mostly, and stick on whatever false eyelashes I feel like for the day - slightly more natural or drama ones. I used to have to get Majolica's stuff from Japan or Taiwan. So glad they're here in Singapore now! I also use white slightly sparkly eyeshadow (from Majolica as well) as eye make-up base, and put on other pastel colours like light pink, or blue etc...depending. Actually, all my eye-stuff are from Majolica. Haha, I'm a huge fan. I also like to line the bottom half of my eyes with white liner and blend some in the inner eyes to brighten and open the eyes. I got my pencil from...haha where else but Majolica.

As for my face, I'll usually slap on some RMK make-up base, followed by Laneige's make-up base (the green one). I think the green really brightens the face and makes it fairer. Then, I'll puff some loose powder on my face. I'm currently using Anna Sui's...followed by blusher from....erm, Majolica again. :D

p.s I'm not endorsed or sponsored by Majolica just in case you're wondering. Ha.

That's about all to my make-up regime. I'm always on the look-out for stuff to make the skin brighter and fairer. Please let me know if you've tried any fab products too!! :)

Some stuff in my make-up bag.

To Germaine and potty-training Domo:

Hey, Domo was actually already pee-pan trained when he came to me (thanks to the breeders). But he suddenly lost it one day and kept peeing beside the newspapers I've laid out for him.
(I've read that puppies can suddenly lose what they've learnt. Yeaks!) Anyway, I tried all sort of ways like slapping his butt and scolding him when he pees out of the newspapers and putting him on the newspapers for him to smell and hopefully communicate with him that it's his toilet.

All that didn't quite work until I bought a big proper pee pan and laid newspapers in it. He suddenly got it without me even trying. I think Domo just needed proper boundaries. I'm not sure if you've got a pee-pan for your poodle as well? And not just newspapers on the ground?

Also, the vet told me that if we make a huge fuss after our doggie pees in the wrong place, they may actually enjoy the attention and keep doing it. Maybe you can try cleaning up with dettol or those sprays you can get from pet shops that covers the doggie pee smell and leave some trace of your doggie's pee on the newspaper so he/she will follow the smell. I'm not sure if it'll work, but good luck! You'll probably find more answers on dog forums too. :)

Show me some of your doggie's photos? Would love to see! Email or facebook??

...說好的 幸福呢?

只是回憶的音樂盒還旋轉著 要怎麼停呢
how much can one grieve till they will grieve no more
how much tears can one shed till they cry no more

never have i felt pain like i've ever felt before

And so it is
Just like you said it would be
Life goes easy on me
Most of the time
And so it is
The shorter story
No love, no glory
No hero in her skies

I can't take my eyes off you
I can't take my eyes off you
I can't take my eyes off you
I can't take my eyes off you
I can't take my eyes off you
I can't take my eyes...

And so it is
Just like you said it should be
We'll both forget the breeze
Most of the time
And so it is
The colder water
The blower's daughter
The pupil in denial

I can't take my eyes off you
I can't take my eyes off you
I can't take my eyes off you
I can't take my eyes off you
I can't take my eyes off you
I can't take my eyes...

Did I say that I loathe you?
Did I say that I want to
Leave it all behind?

I can't take my mind off you
I can't take my mind off you...
I can't take my mind off you
I can't take my mind off you
I can't take my mind off you
I can't take my mind...
My mind...my mind...
'Til I find somebody new

Even Domo finds studying sleep inducing...haha.

I wanted to do a quick post, but ended up writing.

Made your New Year's resolutions yet? Time really flies...I always say this, but it's really really scary how it does. And 2008 felt extra quick. Star Search was in 2007! Been more than a year. I can't believe it. It still kinda feels fresh.

Last year has been rather interesting, and yet not. Ok, that didn't sound quite right. But, it was interesting for one because I took a hiatus from the corporate world and took time off to try and dabble in what I love and to find my direction (once again) in life. I think that's me...I need to be constantly dynamic and changing. Not to feel bored. Well, I can't say I've found my answer...haha, I think I never will. That's the element of surprise in life I guess?

Along the way, I had some rather good opportunities, I think joining Kosmic Film was a good decision. I feel comfortable there and I like the people I work with. I think something good should brew from there. But of course, everything else with this industry is never easy. There's soooo many elements involved and sometimes, being a good actress is just not enough. Oh well, but I'll take a chance on that, and keep working hard at my craft. If you become so good, who can resist you right? haha. Anyway, I definitely hope 2009 will be a better year with more opportunities!!

So, not so interesting because....I can't exactly put a finger on that. Maybe because I'm such a bore deep down, I enjoy staying at home, meeting up the same friends, doing the same things, eating the same kind of food. Haha. Don't get me wrong, I love doing all that. Just that there wasn't quite something that made a huge impact in '08. I'm not even sure what kind of huge impact I'm talking about. haha, I sound like this completely confused chick! Well, if it happens in '09, I'll be blogging about it. With a "HUGE IMPACT" title. Do wait out for it...hopefully.

Back to New Year's resolutions. The only serious one I inked down for this year, is to EXERCISE!!! I find it the hardest to do really, when I really should. I think I need someone to smack me on my back to make me move. Ha. Anything else on the list, I'll keep it dynamic (haha, that's my favourite word I think?). I remember coming across this Bruce Lee saying once. Something like we should be formless, shapeless like water. I like to take it that it meant that we should be flexible and dynamic - in everything we do. Wait, I'll take that as my '09 resolution, I should be like water!

Anyway, I'll like to bid adios to '08, and toast to '09. Cheers to a better year! Good luck for the new year everyone! :)

A good start to the year, me in Dolce magazine. Thanks so much Dolce for this spread opportunity! Thanks Kee Soon!

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!... make your new year's resolutions and stick to them!

May all your colourful dreams come true this year! *muack*
