You wouldn't believe it. It's 3a.m, and I'm sitting here waiting for my hair dye to seep in properly into my hair for half an hour before I go wash off. Yes. I decided to colour my hair at 3a.m in the morning.
There's been this slight desperate urge inside me for change. I still can't put a finger to exactly what I want changed in my life, but I've been feeling uninspired lately.
I've just completed two filming projects this week, I've met new people and have had good, happy experiences working on set. Yet, I have this urge to run wildly and 'break free.' Right. I'm being slightly dramatic here, but I'm bored, and uninspired.
I'm strangely hoping that a change in hair colour would perhaps inspire me and maybe lift my spirits? I want to channel away all the negative energy around and in me and breathe new life!
Haha. I may wake up tomorrow morning, completely regret the hair colour and go grab the first box of black hair dye in sight... Oh well, but at least I tried.
With our separate hectic schedules, it's been a long while since I've met up with my favourite girls from JAL. I was two hours late for our dinner at "Shunjuu, Robertson Quay" because my shoot from the day over-ran! :(
Finally! It was great to see them. :)
Yummy Japanese food and everyone say...Choya!!
And it was off to Stereolab for some hard partying after!
Darls...what are you looking at? Haha.
...and we try again.
My girlfriends loved the dress I'm wearing from Pink Flare and have reserved their own! Have you gotten yours yet? ;)
I'm currently filming a Channel U tele-movie titled "The Promise." The make-up artist on set uses Clinique's - High Impact Curling Mascara on my lashes, and I am completely bought over by it's "va-voom" effect. I'm sorry "Marjolica," I still think you're good, but "Clinique" is better!
I tried applying it myself and I was surprised that one coat was already enough to give my lashes that bold effect I always like. It also doesn't clump, separates the lashes really well and holds it up. The best part? It washes away really easily with warm water!
Now, what am I going to do with that 6 tubes of unopened Marjolica mascara in my drawer?
P.S I am not doing an advertorial, neither am I being sponsored by Clinique. So, you can trust me on this one! ;)
I think that jewellery completes an outfit. It can jazz up what may be a simple outfit into something dazzling and complement looks. I've been looking at a lot of chunky jewellery for everyday wear recently.
I adore the designs by Kenneth Jay Lane:
Ooh..."Star" designs have always been my weakness...
Chunky bracelets! I love pairing a couple on my wrist or together with many simpler ones.
Or with my toy watch like this...(repeat picture from previous post.:))
Kenneth Jay Lane's crystal-embellished tiger cuff...I love the details...:)
I love this one by Juicy Couture! I can imagine it accentuating a casual look with its dash of Deco decadence...mmm...
Wow, how about this from Oscar De La Renta. Looks like something you can dress up or down.
And Marni! How gorgeous!!
My look of the day - Lots of bracelets paired, and rings, and necklace, and...and...I'm very excited just talking about all these gorgeous jewellery. Haha. (P.S I love the clutch with the star design above! Anyone know where it's from?)
All the above jewellery mentioned can be found on net-a-porter. But, if you're looking for cheaper alternatives, the accessory store "Diva" has lots of nice ones to choose from (without burning a hole in your pocket)!!
I am developing a habit. Online shopping is addictive. Oh, the thrills of receiving a parcel in the post! :)
A blurry Domo checking out my package.
Here's feeding my obsession of slight wedge shoes/sandals... A girl can never have too many shoes. :)
Speaking of online shopping, I am so glad to say that my online store "Pink Flare" has been quite a resounding success. Thank you so much for all your love and support!...and thank you all my lovely friends and family for helping me spread the word via blog entries, links, facebook shout-outs and word-of-mouth. New arrivals for apparels will be in soon!
Dexter, my hairstylist invited us to his salon - Next@Ion for their grand opening. It was a night of bubbly champagne and merry-making. I've been following him for a couple of years (actually, my whole family goes to him) and hard work, creativity and pure stylishness has brought him up and up to where he is today. He does Stefanie Sun's hair too and she was the VVIP for the night!
Here's me, Dexter the man, Rebecca and Elaine. Congratulations Dexter! Here's to many many more stylish golden scissors years! :)
...and with one of Next's partners - Jerry. Love his cute bow tie!
We girls adjourned for a yummy Japanese dinner after. Thanks for the treat Dickson!
My favourite cousin - Elaine. She's wearing a piece from my online store - Pink Flare!!
Soon after, it was time for some hair pampering. This time, I "brought" Yuqi, Fionna and Lingting along. Yuqi and I are fooling around whilst waiting for Lingting and trying out the "snap yourselves from the mirror thing."
Dexter hard at work (but still camera sensitive, haha). Lingting went from super long hair to this!! Really made me want to cut my hair too...but that has to wait till all current shoots end. Can't wait!!
Whopee! Nice, silky hair for the day! (I did a trim and softening treatment in case you're wondering where's the difference. :D)
I've been looking around in all the mobile shops for nice iPhone covers since I've had my 3Gs in July. I especially luv those "bling" ones and those who know me know that I've always been "blinging" out my previous phones with those DIY crystals. I was searching for a long time and could never find any that I like...
So, I was very excited when I saw these!
So bling!..and I don't even need to DIY! :)
sparkly zebra stripes!!
I was so excited, I decided to share my luv with all of you. I've brought these iPhone covers in, and they can be found on my online store: http://www.pink-flare.blogspot.com
Go see!! There are more designs and colours available! :)
I attended the red carpet themed E! Entertainment & SPE Network Asia Trade Event held at "The Prime Society."
It was a nice get-together with the other Kosmic Artistes - Claire, Jaymee and Choy. Most of us have got our little hobbies/businesses on the side. Jaymee is a yoga instructor, Choy runs a cupcake business, and I, have my little fashion blogshop, Pink Flare. You can take a look and order Choy's muffins at http://www.cake-in-a-cup.blogspot.com/ :)
Ditched the heels and ran off to meet my classmates for drinks and food at Timbre after the event.
With Vanie, and a bit of Edwyn.
...And the full Edwyn.
These people made lectures a lot more fun and made the time pass faster. Luv!! :)
Domo had a lunch play date with his friend, "Kid." We met (together with Kid's owner, Joleen) at a cafe at K9 Kulture. :)
Jack Russell - "Kid"
The boys met this pretty girl, Japanese Spitz "Ohaiyo." She's got a Japanese name too like Domo! And was wearing a really pretty Juicy Couture dress with pearl necklace. The owner told us she's usually too shy to socialise with dogs, but she got along fine with Domo and Kid after a while...I think she likes handsome boys. Haha.
So many big dogs at K9 Kulture! They've got a day-care programme that includes power walks and swimming for the dogs. Joleen and I are really interested in letting our doggies join their programme for a day!
Domo inside the cafe, watching the outside world go by.
Domo met a couple of other french bulldogs and boston terriers.
I got some mooncakes for Domo! (Lamb and sweet tapioca flavour)
Domo was a really happy boy at the end of the day! (And I, was really tired out from running after and looking after him all day!)
Daddy and my sister are both September babies. We went for chinese cuisine with the all important "peking duck" for a cosy family celebration. Our family (especially my parents) really don't have much of an exotic taste palette. :)
