A Birthday Celebration

(Photobomber Alert!)

Had a lovely Saturday spent celebrating Karen's birthday. Lots of food went down at Coca Restaurant followed by delicious cake and lots of merry-making. The night was made complete by a super adorable baby, Emma and 5 lovely dogs. I love the visual feasting I get from beautiful artworks and pieces whenever I head over to her place!

My favourite picture of the dogs:
How sweet is this! :)

Pink Parade

Had a dinner date with my 2 BFFs Alvin and Joyce. This is another one of my long running friendships. We went to school together and used to stress over assignments and projects. Now we're stressing over wrinkles and adult life.

I was really happy that the Noir necklace I ordered arrived. Shopbop is really quick. They deliver in around 3 working days? Of course, free international shipping is absolutely awesome. Took it out on our dinner date with my pink heels and judging from the first photo, Domo clearly approves of my outfit. Haha.

Dinner was a major food fest at Skinny Pizza followed by desert at Swensen's after. We don't do meet-ups that often, but whenever we do, it's always nothing short of perfect. Big love!

All Grown Up!

So this is it. Just like that, I've outgrown my blog's name - 'Jeneen's Neverland...someone show me the way?' I have finally reached the stage in life where, yes, I have found my way. Feeling all calm, settled and happy, this blog shall now take over it's domain name and be simply known as - xoxo, jeneen.

What a journey it has been!

Look of the Day

If only Singapore's weather permitted, I'll be wearing pullovers and sweaters with everything. Absolutely loving these leather shorts and knitted sweater look!

Italian Night

Went out for a lovely Italian meal at Galbiati on Friday with one of my longest standing friends, Jasmine. We sat outdoors and had a lovely time just chatting. The parma ham and rocket salad we had was great, my crab meat squid ink pasta was yummy, but Jasmine's mushroom risotto was not too good. You may not want to eat that if you do pop by.

I'm such a fan of leopard print shoes. I think they're so easy to go with almost everything. I got these pair of wedges from River Island - I've got leopard print heels, wedges, platform sandals, sneakers and my collection is still expanding. Rawrhhhh....

Have a lovely Sunday you all!

Loving this picture of Blair Waldorf and Serena Van Der Woodsen.

Head In The Clouds

Spent yesterday trawling the malls, getting bored, heading to a guitar showroom where the boy played and sang some tunes, and ended up at 'Hood' the pub where the boy sang even more tunes, impromptu. The guitar showroom was really cosy and nice. I've always wished for Pink Flare to have a store like that - away from the bustling malls, in a quaint setting where everything is calm, pretty and cosy. Of course, my dream store does not make any business sense in the retail world so all I can do is keep my head in the clouds, and continue dreaming. :)

Have a lovely weekend coming up!

Pastel Dreams Come True

In an earlier blog post (here), I wrote about having pastel dreams and having a major crush on pastel coloured outfits. So, I was most delighted when the pastel coloured shirt dresses I sent to make for my store a couple of months earlier arrived. What perfect timing! Named 'Sugar Rush', these shirt dresses come in an array of macaroon hues- powder pink, baby blue and lilac. Not being quite able to decide which is my favourite colour yet (i love them all!), I went for the powder pink first and wore it for a trip to the National Museum with the boy.

I took along my new bag from Tocco Tenero (I love the nude hue of the bag and the texture of the bag flap!) and before entering the museum, the boy whipped out his camera and we started taking some shots. So engrossed we were that guess what, the museum closed before we had a chance to step in! Such a complete 'duh' moment, it was hilarious.

For those who participated in the earlier Tocco Tenero bag giveaway, thank you! Big congratulations to the winner, Xue Qi!

What I really like about this bag, besides the design and colour, is the versatility and functionality of it. It can be carried with the short strap on your shoulder kinda like a hobo bag, or as an across-the-body bag with the longer strap. There are these pieces of straps that you can take out or add on depending on the length you want the strap to be. How awesome! I had quite a bit of fun playing around with them. I tried to take pictures of the various lengths and straps:
